ATTICUS MEDIA PRODUCTIONS (AMP) is a non-for-profit company operated by the multimedia artist, videographer/editor, and educator Aaron Long (Atticus Stevenson). Established in Brooklyn, NY in the year 2003, AMP operated as a fully FREE organization for more than 12 years - funded primarily by Atticus Stevenson and by the generous support of private grants and independent donations from its collaborators.
In 2016 AMP was required to begin charging for its services to compensate for the "digital data crisis". In total AMP "clients" have filled more than 30TB of hard drive space bringing the company to a standstill until it became physically possible to create new content.
The goal of AMP is to emphasize the current art movement FREE ART (FREE yourself from the limitations preventing you from making your ART) and to help and teach the artistic community that though money is a necessary evil it isn't everything. Working with past and present collaborators, our sole purpose is to spotlight the amazing artists creating in this city and help share their rhythm with the world.
To date AMP has collaborated with more than 4,600 artists worldwide creating and documenting
more than 2,500 unique and amazing live art performances/productions.
